Sheldon Harte
Founder & Principal
Sheldon Harte has designed some of the most luxuriously livable residences on the West Coast since he founded the Laguna Beach interior design firm Harte Brownlee & Associates in 1984. With his ability to work in any style, from traditional to contemporary, formal to casual, Sheldon designs all varieties of living environments, from estates and villas to family compounds, hilltop homes, beach bungalows and ski homes. Working closely with clients, Sheldon and his design team have completed residential projects up and down the state of California and other locales nationwide. In addition to creating luxurious but approachable living and dining rooms, he designs exceptionally detailed and functional kitchens and baths, creative multi-purpose game rooms and a variety of specialty rooms to suit the lifestyles of his clients.
Sheldon also has designed commercial interiors, including the eco-friendly offices for the RiverRock Real Estate Group, located in the first LEED-certified building in Newport Beach. His design work has been featured in ArchitecturalDigest.com, House Beautiful, Elle Decor, Luxe Interiors + Design, Architectural Digest's international editions, Wall Street Journal, California Home+Design, Laguna Beach Magazine, and on HGTV’s Top 10.
Derrick Davis
Senior Designer
Derrick Davis has been working at Harte Brownlee since 2016. He previously worked as a CPA at a financial services firm and in sales and marketing at a medical device company. He decided to shift his career course to interior design after designing his own apartment and earning praise from friends and family who later asked for his help with their homes. That experience and his travels through Europe discovering the rich history of architecture and furniture design led to the realization of his passion for interior design. Derrick has worked on a variety of projects, from a contemporary Hollywood Hills home to formal residences with European influences. He enjoys meeting with clients and transforming their visions into the home of their dreams. Derrick holds an Associate of Arts degree in Interior Design from Interior Designer’s Institute and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
Megan Pulfer
Associate Designer
Megan Pulfer has been working at Harte Brownlee since 2017. A graduate of the Interior Designers Institute, she is an Allied member of ASID. Prior to joining Harte Brownlee, Megan danced professionally for 13 years and she still manages to keep one foot in the dance studio in her spare time as the Artistic Director of two non-profit dance companies.
